Request for Qualifications Issued for New MBEST Center Building
The MBEST Center has issued a Request for Qualifications for a developer to design, construct, and operate a new building for innovative tenants involved in green technologies.  Interested parties are encouraged to download the RFQ and submit a statement of qualifications no later than September 1, 2008.  Documents available for review may be found here.

Welcome to California Homeland Security Consortium

On July 1, 2008, the California Homeland Security Consortium held a garland-cutting ceremony at their new UC MBEST Center offices with a keynote presentation by Congressman Sam Farr.  The CHSC is a consortium of the California higher education community, Monterey County, the State of California, federal agencies, local research institutes and corporate members, led by the Naval Postgraduate School.  The overall objective of the CHSC is to promote undergraduate and graduate programs focused on national security, conduct research on critical homeland security issues, to conduct field tests, and to strengthen the abilities of first-responder agencies.

Limited space is currently available for small research-related or educationally-oriented businesses at the UC MBEST Center in the Headquarters Building and the Flight Simulator Building
.

In addition, space is also available in the Marina Technology Cluster.
