Professional Biographies Bruce Margon, Vice Chancellor for Research Vice Chancellor
Margon oversees the Office of Research
at UCSC and is responsible for the coordination and executive leadership
of research administration and planning; development of research funding
opportunities and growth strategies across all of UCSC’s academic divisions;
development of research policies; management of technology transfer activities;
oversight of contracts, grants, and research compliance matters; and advocacy
with local, state, and federal agencies for UCSC.
Graham Bice, Managing Director Mr.
Bice is responsible for all physical development of the UC MBEST Center and has overseen preparation of the Master Plan, permitting,
initial infrastructure development, real estate transactions, and property
management. Before joining MBEST, he was responsible for campus planning
and environmental review at the UC Santa Cruz campus. He has a Master's
degree in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University and a B.A.
in Environmental Planning and Economics from UC Santa Cruz.
Barbara
A. Moore Ms.
Moore joined the MBEST team in 1999. She is central to the daily operations of the
project and is the critical communications “hub” for the distributed
MBEST team. Ms. Moore also assists with the preparation and submission
of financial documents, works in conjunction with
our facilities management, and maintains our extensive database.
